Maple Farmers Network, LLC is a group of small family farm owners in Southwest Wisconsin. They have worked together each year since 1999 during the month of March to collect maple sap from the maple trees on their farms.
They process the sap and work cooperatively year around to bottle and market real maple products from Wisconsin.

The founder of this group, Ruth, has been farming, following organic farming and processing standards, for many years. First as a child helping her father on his farm in the Kickapoo River Valley, and now on her farm in rural Readstown, Wisconsin.
Ruth mentors other farmers in this group on how to follow both organic standards and government requirements for maple syrup production.

All of the farm families in Southwest Wisconsin are are in need of additional income so they can make a living on their farms. Often the money they get from selling their syrup is used to pay the property taxes on their farms.
